Duties:
- Recommend, develop and implement local internal controls and procedures as required to comply with the responsibilities of the position and reinforce compliance with corporate policies & procedures.
- Responsible for timely completion of all statutory requirements including tax returns, information returns, sales tax reports and any other local legal requirements.
- Responsible for monthly closing of the accounting books of the country affiliate using company’s HFM system (Hyperion), in a timely and accurate manner, in agreement with the published schedules and deadlines.
- Provide detailed, accurate financial statements and supporting documents on a monthly basis in conformity with corporate standards and formats that will facilitate discussion and review among all levels of management.
- Monthly review of financial performance with the Country Manager supported by actual and accurate explanations of major variances, positive and negative. The goal of the review is to assist the Country Manager in making informed decisions and in making well-supported recommendations to regional management.
- Oversight and review of all contracts and arrangements with 3rd parties and related parties and maintenance of current records and documentation of same. Such records and documentation should be readily available for review by management or auditors (internal or external) at any time.
- Accurately plan and forecast cash requirements, informing the Regional Controller immediately of any potential shortfalls.
- Develop annual financial budgets in alignment with company’s strategic plans.
- As a key member of local management team and acting as “Business Partner”
Requirements:
- University degree in accounting / finance / economics with at least 3 years of relevant working experience at Finance Manager/Accounting Manager/All Round Accountant capacity
- Ability to act as both strategic business partner and operational financial controller role
- Proactive, energetic and positive mindset.
