Assistant Manager, Curriculum & Examinations (Ref: AM-CED) - Hong Kong Securities Institute

Hong Kong Securities Institute was established in December 1997 with the objective of raising the professional standards in the securities industry through the provision of examinations and training courses. The Institute is seeking a high calibre individual to fill the following position:

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the development and/or translation process of regulatory questions and study manuals
  • Update regulatory questions and study manuals to reflect changes in laws, regulations and practices in Hong Kong
  • Provide appropriate academic support to candidates
  • Manage and participate in ad hoc projects of the Curriculum and Examinations Department with particular regard to regulatory, compliance and legal issues and developments
  • Conduct research on policy issues and education/examination matters and prepare policy papers for the Curriculum and Examinations Department
  • Liaise with external consultants, market practitioners, academia, external reviewers, etc. as required


Requirements:

Candidates should have:
  • Preferably a law degree and/ or finance degree and solid knowledge of securities and futures laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience
  • Proven experience with financial regulators or in compliance functions is preferred
  • Work experience in educational institutions/professional examination bodies is a plus
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good presentation and communication skills
