JOB SUMMARY
  1. Preparation of critical actuarial studies, reports, participation in product development and support to business development activities.
  2. Supervises the work on monitoring of group renewal rates
  3. Group costing for accounts whose rates are exceptions to published rates and whose benefits are highly customized.
  4. Conducts continuing studies on Morbidity, detailed Calims Study, Persistency, Expense, Clinic Profitability, Profitability by Line of Business, Claims trending and rate review/validation.
  5. Acquires resources when necessary to ensure completion of projects/studies
  6. Monitoring of TAT for group costing for prospective accounts
  7. Reviews underwriting guidelines in coordination with Operations Division
  8. Prepares reports as required by adhoc requests
  9. Conducts regular staff mtg. to ensure work accomplishment & discuss issues
  10. Reviews/approves data for MOS (IBNR, Reserves, Accruals, O/S Claims)
  11. Reviews/approves monthly reports (Claims Analysis, “Early Warning Devise”, Renewal Tracking, Renewal Pool Monitoring
  12. Reviews financial ratios in coordination with Finance Office
  13. Review of department accomplishments and planning for ff month’s activities

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • Graduate of any 4 or 5 year College Course

Experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience

  • Actuarial background/exposure
  • Knowledge or experience in HMO concepts/operations
  • With Good Underwriting, Accounting, Engineering, Finance & Mathematics background or experience
  • Oral Communication Skills
